August 31st, 2008
So far ive been set on the raven, but id like advice from people who have been here and done it.
So best gun to start out with?
FYI.
im not getting a gun to tattoo people. Im getting a gun to study for an apprenticeship.
i wont be tattooing anyone illegally.
thanks tho
Robert. i asked a question,i dont need a rude response. jesus.
and yes i have tattoos.. why would i want to be a tattoo artist if i knew nothing about it?. Anyways, purchasing a tattoo machine is not illegal here,so i will do so,without breaking any laws, theres nothing wrong about practicing on "tattoo skin".
thanks for the demeaning attiude though.
go with a TTs gun ( from technical tattoo supply). you dont need a license to buy a tattoo gun, what ever dumb a$$ thought that up is full of it.

If you aren't an apprentice or artist you shouldn't own a gun. That's the bottom line. It's illegal to tattoo anyone without having a license to and the temptation will get to you if you have one and people are stupid enough to ask for tattoos knowing that you don't have the training. Don't get one unless you have professional reasons and training.
-I'm really not trying to be mean, I just don't encourage Scratching at all.
-Then ask the artist you are practicing under what would be best, he/she can probably tell you what would be the best for you after working with you some. And they know different styles of guns as well. Thank you for the extra information and not getting offended!
-I didn't say you NEED a license jerk, I said you shouldn't own one unless you have a professional reason for owning it. She understood the reasoning obviously and added more details.

first off i can tell you that by just reading the way you ask about this MACHINEand call it a gun you have no business in even considering the purchase. do you even have any tattoos,? hang around any shops or even know a tattooer or tattooist? long way away from your machine . the one suggested to you by whoever ,already is crap by the way and it is illgal in many states without a license
